James. 23 years old. I first attended Oaklands nursery in Wolstanton when I was 3 years old. When I reached 4 years old, I started primary school at St Wulstans also in Wolstanton, and remained there for seven years. Halfway through my primary school years, at the age of nine, I was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome. My parents noticed that I was different from the other children at school. I wasn't interacting with my peers because I didn't know how to, where as with other children it came naturally.
One of my main interests in life is music.I like lots of different types of music. But the type of music I really have a passion for is 60's and 70's music such as The Small Faces, The Who and The Jam etc etc. Some of my other hobbies are:- Gym, rock climbing, pool/snooker and ten pin bowling.

Mark Alexander

Autism Radio UK presenter
Hi! My name is Mark Alexander and I present the singer/songwriter show. Previously I used to broadcast a show on Hospital Radio Wey in Surrey. I was diagnosed with Aspergers and Dyspraxia at the age of 10 and I have always felt obliged to make this world a friendlier place for those with autism, and also to help those who have gone through similar difficulties, like I have, in the past. In my spare time I like to write songs and poems, and I play the piano which always helps to destress me at the end of the day. My favourite musicians are Ella Fitzgerald, Carl Wilson, Sandy Denny, Lowell George and Kirsty MacColl amongst many others, and I also have a guilty pleasure in liking the songs of Doris Day! I hope you enjoy the show!
